Privacy Policy
Last updated: Placeholder — not yet finalized
This page is a placeholder outlining the structure of our Privacy Policy. It is not yet finalized or legally reviewed and should not be relied upon as our actual policy.
NIA is a personal health intelligence platform, so protecting your information is central to everything we do. This outline describes the kinds of things a finalized policy will cover and how we intend to handle your data.
Information we collect
Account details you provide, such as your name and email address, and the health records you choose to upload or connect (for example lab reports, prescriptions, scans, vaccinations and visit summaries).
Limited technical information needed to run the service securely, such as device and log data. We do not sell your personal or health information.
How we use your information
To organize your records onto a single timeline, to generate educational explanations and highlight changes, to help you prepare for appointments, and to enable the consent-based sharing you initiate.
NIA provides educational information only and does not diagnose conditions or replace professional medical advice.
How we protect your information
Your records are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is logged, and sharing is always consent-based and revocable. NIA is designed to support HIPAA and GDPR-aligned practices.
Your rights and controls
You control what is shared, with whom, and for how long, and you can revoke access at any time. You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data, subject to any legal obligations that apply.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account or specific records, we remove the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Sharing and disclosure
We share your health information only with the people or providers you explicitly authorize. We may use trusted service providers to operate the platform, under obligations to protect your data, and we may disclose information where legally required.
Contact us about privacy
Questions about privacy or your data can be sent to our team via the contact page. A finalized policy will include a dedicated privacy contact and, where applicable, a data protection representative.
